Green Boudoir Fan, 1920

A boudoir fan made of three green ostrich feathers. Fans of this type were playful accessories; they were used less for fanning the air. In the 1920s, people began experimenting with feather fans. Green fans are very rare. Over the years, the designs evolved and reflected current fashion trends, but the green feather fan remained a prized and rare collector's item. Very well preserved.
